The trip home from the Funeral

Well, the trip home from Papa's funeral was fairly uneventful.  Just a long, 12+ hour trip with a beautiful landscape of trees to look at for 3/4ths of the way.  Everyone was exhausted, but troopers cosidering the length of the trip and the ages of the children.

We wanted to do something special for the children on our way home.  They had be so incredibly good during the trip that we felt a treat was in order.  So, we took them on a little detour....

That's right everyone, we went to Metropolis, IL - home of Superman.  The kids were very excited (in spite of the cold weather).  Mom and dad were just glad we got there before dark!

  1. Christine often updates me on what's up with you guys. It's good to see you are blogging now so we can keep up with the growth of the kids and all.

Tell Glenn to put the kids down first before he attempts his first flight! :)
